Pelvic Floor Wellness
Pelvic Floor Bodywork
In 2018, I trained with Tami Kent MSPT, women's health physical therapist and author of Wild Feminine, to learn the pelvic healing modality she developed, Holistic Pelvic Care™. This modality can help folks who are dealing with pain or imbalance in their pelvis. This can manifest through physical signs like pain, numbness, prolapse, incontinence, and sexual dysfunction, and can also show up in mental/emotional ways like a sense of "stuckness," frustration, rage, sadness or numbness, or loss of libido.
At your appointment, we will go through your health history, review basic pelvic anatomy, and then get you onto the massage table for the hands on bodywork, which includes gentle intra-vaginal massage along with visualization, breathing, and meditation techniques. If you have recently (or not so recently) given birth, we may incorporate some techniques that I am in the process of learning through Institute for Birth Healing, where I am currently enrolled in Holistic Treatment for Facilitating Birth and Postpartum Recovery course.
All pelvic floor bodywork sessions are $150. Plan to be at the office for 90 minutes for your first session, and 60 minutes for follow ups.

We cover:
- Anatomy - What are the muscles and structures of the pelvis, and what are their functions?
- Breathing - Learn the role of conscious, deep breathing in pelvic floor and overall health and wellbeing. Deep breathing oxygenates your muscles, massages your organs, and relaxes your sympathetic nervous system.
- Awareness - Learn how to "find" the muscles of your pelvic floor. Discover where your own imbalances are and what to do about them.
- Posture - Are your daily habits helping or hindering your pelvic floor health? Learn about a "neutral pelvis" and how to apply this information to your daily life for improved pelvic floor function.
- Movement - Learn some exercises to improve the tone of the muscles of your pelvic floor and core.
- Other factors in pelvic floor health - the shoes you wear, bathroom habits, stress levels, trauma, sexuality, and more.
