Women's community Yoga
This class is currently on hiatus! Watch this space.
This all-levels class is for women in their childbearing year and beyond. Babies are always welcome in my classes, so expect a fun and lively environment and an unconventional yoga class. Trained as a midwife and focusing on pelvic floor health, I make safety modifications for pregnancy and the postpartum period, and aim to help guide women into a better understanding of their own bodies.
* Develop balance and coordination
* Build physical and mental strength
* Address the common aches and pains of pregnancy and postpartum
* Tone and rehabilitate the pelvic floor and core muscles
* Reduce stress and anxiety
If you are dealing with pelvic floor dysfunction (incontinence, mild prolapse, pelvic pain, loss of sensation) or diastasis recti (a split between the muscles of your belly), this alignment-based class is safe for you.
There are rich opportunities for community building in these classes, and many friendships have been formed in this space. I encourage people to stick around after class to socialize, have a cup of tea, and share experiences with the women of your community.
